Mission Statement

     The mission of the Skaneateles Central School District is to provide  positive and successful learning experiences for all students. The schools will also strive to provide students with the knowledge and problem-solving skills necessary to contribute and adapt to an ever-changing world. Within a caring and student-centered environment, the schools will offer a balanced educational program with high expectations to challenge and motivate each student.

     The school district places a high value on professional development and provides staff development offerings that are research based, aligned with district and building goals, and matched with individual and student needs.

     The goal of professional development is to positively influence student achievement through teacher growth and expertise.

Professional Development at Skaneateles is dynamic and evolving. It occurs in a variety of ways throughout the school year.
